About the Fundraiser

We are five post-baccalaureate pre-medical students at Drexel University. Just this past winter, we realized that all five of us have a strong combined interest in supporting pediatric cystic fibrosis patients. The families and patients of the Cystic Fibrosis Center at St. Christopher's Hospital for Children are local to Philadelphia and are members of our community. Our intention is to raise money for these families and to help their children overcome the many challenges that come with cystic fibrosis. These funds will be used to provide assistance for families during hospital visits, such as travel expenses and comfortable accommodations. They will also provide toys, books, and other entertainment for children during their hospital stays, since part of their treatment involves isolation for extended periods of time.

Another portion of our fundraiser is dedicated to connecting children with cystic fibrosis in Philadelphia to middle school students in the Half Hallow Hills school district, in Long Island New York. During both Advocacy and Friendship week, children in HHH Middle School will create gifts for children in St. Christopher's Pediatric Cystic Fibrosis Center. This will create a wonderful connection between children in two different states, while simultaneously educating children in the HHH school district about Cystic Fibrosis.

Our ultimate goal is to raise $5,000 for the families and children at St. Christopher's Hospital Pediatric Cystic Fibrosis Center.
